Villa Mokum won the Amsterdam New Construction Prize 2016. The new construction project for first-time buyers and students in the Amstelkwartier received almost 21 percent of the votes. Alderman Laurens Ivens (Construction and Housing) announced the winning project on Friday evening (September 30) at a festive gathering at Pakhuis De Zwijger in Amsterdam.
Villa Mokum is a project by developer AM and designed by architect Marcel Kampman. The building complex comprises 627 studios, both for sale and for rent, grouped around a communal inner garden.
