The working area of Amsterdam Woont coincides with the Metropolitan region of Amsterdam (MRA). Simply put, that's Amsterdam and the region. But that region is large. It extends broadly from Zandvoort to Bussum, from Oosthuizen (above Purmerend) to Nieuw-Vennep and from Weesp to Lelystad.
Working Area Amsterdam Woont (MRA): seven subareas
Our working area (the Amsterdam Metropolitan Area) is divided into seven subareas:

- Zaanstreek-Waterland (Municipalities: Zaanstad, Purmerend, Eden-Volendam, Waterland, Wormerland, Uitgeest, Landsmeer and Oostzaan)
- IJmond (Municipalities: Velsen, Beverwijk and Heemskerk)
- South Kennemerland (Municipalities: Haarlem, Heemstede, Bloemendaal and Zandvoort)
- Amstelland-Meerlanden (Municipalities: Haarlemmermeer, Amstelveen, Aalsmeer, Uithoorn, Diemen and Ouder-Amstel)
- Gooi and Vecht region (Municipalities: Hilversum, Gooise Meren, Huizen, Wijdemeren, Laren and Blaricum)
- Almere-Lelystad
