This new neighborhood in Stadsdeel West is located between Pontsteiger, Tasmanstraat, Spaarndammerdijk, Archangelweg and Haparandaweg. Houthaven consists of 7 artificial islands connected by 15 bridges. Libau Island is the 6th island and, apart from the 7th island (Karlskrona Island), is the closest to the imposing Pontsteiger Waterpoort. On Libau Island, a total of 116 homes will be built from large to small, for islanders from young to old. Those homes are located in the 19 different buildings on the island. The housing offer includes spacious, ground-level (corner) row houses and 2-story houses (ground-level), both of which are very suitable for families. There will also be 2-story maisonettes and various types of apartments of different sizes. The buildings on Libau Island are nowhere higher than four floors.
Phase 2: City side:
Phase 2A in Libau Island, consists of 20 homes on the city side which have now been completed. The sale of phase - 2B, where 27 homes belonging to it is expected to start in the fourth quarter of 2024.

The Houthaven is located between the Spaarndammerbuurt and the IJ in Amsterdam West.
