New housing supply coming to new construction project ‘t Eilandhart MarkenThese are two- and three-room apartments of approximately 70 square meters, with free-label prices of around 310,000 to about 435,000 euros. The sale will start on Thursday, February 6, with a sales presentation. Even better news: the environmental permit for ‘t Eilandhart has become irrevocable. That means the project will actually be built. Which is only a good thing, because of the homes that have already gone on sale, almost sixty percent of them have already been sold!
The apartments are located in a three-story building with the characteristic Marker architecture. Think of facades of black cladding, pointed roofs with red tiles, white dormer windows, white frames, windows with bay windows and eaves decorations. The floors are accessible by stairs or an elevator. Part of the apartments has a storage room on the ground floor. Like all the homes of ‘t Eilandhart, the apartment building is also located on a so-called wharf, in this case the Zinkerwerf. Wharves are elevations (terpens) in the landscape that are characteristic of Marken. When Marken was still an island, it was regularly plagued by flooding. A wharf offered protection against that.
The building stands on the edge of the Zinkerwerf and that guarantees fantastic views. Depending on the location of your apartment, you will have a view of the iconic lighthouse of Marken (‘Het Paard van Marken’), the Markermeer or the Gouwzee. In total, there are eleven apartments with, as mentioned, two or three rooms and purchase prices ranging from approximately 310,000 to approximately 435,000 euros (VAT included).
Sales start on Thursday 6 February with a sales event. It will take place in the canteen Nooitgedacht of Sportvereniging Marken at Walendweg 2 in Marken. You can meet the sales team there between 17:00 and 19:00. You will also receive the brochure. And if you want to know more about the row houses, semi-detached houses and detached houses that were previously on sale and are still available, you can ask all your questions there as well. So mark Thursday 6 February already in your calendar. And register via the project site (at the bottom of the homepage) if you are interested, you will stay up to date.
Speaking of that previous phase(s): almost sixty percent of them have already been sold. And the talks with potential buyers for the remaining homes are still ongoing. At the moment, there are still a few detached houses and two-bedroom apartments available. The living areas range from 88 to 191 square meters. The detached houses also have a basement. A big common denominator: the characteristic, charming Marker architecture. The prices range from 399,500 to 965,000 euros (VAT included). Please note: some of the homes are subject to option. These homes could become available again. The most up-to-date availability can be found on supply page on the project site.
Although Marken has been connected to the mainland since 1957, the island feel has never disappeared. You'll find fantastic views of water and meadows, and the living environment is picturesque. There's no shortage of amenities either. In the atmospheric old center of the former fishing village, you'll find shops for daily groceries and can enjoy a cozy meal out. And when the weather is nice, you can grab a seat on a terrace overlooking the marina. Marken also has (among other things) a primary school and a general practitioner. And do you like water sports? Then you can indulge yourself here. Marken is surrounded by water and you can dock in the marina.
Do you feel like experiencing the hustle and bustle of the big city for a bit? Amsterdam is just a half-hour drive away. If you take the bike, you will be on the road for a good hour. But then you will be cycling through a magnificent water- and bird-rich peat meadow area.
