Dreaming of a life with more freedom, fewer possessions, and a smaller impact on the environment and climate? Do you love peace, space, water, and nature? Then the tiny houses in the new construction project 't Eilandhart on Marken something for you. In the first sub-area (Zinkerwerf), twelve tiny houses will go on sale on Wednesday, April 16th. The prices are approximately 265,000 euros (including closing costs). Come to the sales launch event and discover the great possibilities of small-scale living. Registration for twelve so-called quadrant homes – four family homes under one roof – will also begin that day.
The tiny houses are complete two-story homes of 47 square meters, linked in pairs. On the ground floor, you have your living room with an open kitchen, the toilet, and a space for your washing machine. On the upper floor, you have a bedroom (with a dormer window) and a compact bathroom. These will be delivered unfurnished. At the rear, you have your own terrace. You also have a storage shed. This is separate from the house. You can park on the edge of the small residential area.
Tiny houses are in demand. Because they are relatively small, they are cheaper, leaving you with money for nice things. The impact on the environment and climate is also less, partly because you have less living space to heat. That saves on your energy consumption. The purchase prices: approximately 265,000 euros (all costs included).
In addition to the tiny houses, twelve so-called quadrant homes will also go on sale. These are relatively compact family homes that are linked in fours and share two walls. The quadrant homes are 80 square meters and have three rooms. The living room (with an open kitchen) and the toilet are on the ground floor. Upstairs, there are two bedrooms and a bathroom that will be delivered unfinished. Your washing machine will also be located there. At the front, you have a private terrace with a fence. Separated from the house, there is a storage room. You park your car on the edge of the neighborhood. The prices for the quadrant homes are approximately 315,000 euros (V.O.N.).
The tiny houses and quadrant homes are energy-efficient, partly thanks to excellent insulation, solar panels, and a heat pump. They offer plenty of contemporary comfort while simultaneously embodying the beloved, traditional Marker architecture. This is evident in the black or green facade cladding, pointed roofs with red tiles, white dormer windows, white window frames, mullioned windows, and ridge decorations. The homes are situated on a so-called "werf," the Zinkerwerf. "Werven" are raised mounds (terps) in the landscape that are characteristic of Marken. When Marken was still an island, it was regularly plagued by floods. A werf offered protection against this.
Are you interested in a tiny house or quadrant home in 't Eilandhart on Marken? Then come to the sales event on Wednesday, April 16th, in the canteen of Sportvereniging Marken at Walandweg 2 in Marken. You can speak with the sales team there between 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM. You will also receive a brochure. All information about the tiny houses and quadrant homes will be available on the project website after the sales event. You can then also register. So don't miss the event. You can ask the sales team all your questions about the new housing offer, so you have enough information when you register. Good to know: you do not need to register for the event.
Of course, during the sales event, you can also get information about the still available apartments, semi-detached houses, and detached houses that were previously offered for sale in ’t Eilandhart.
Although Marken has been connected to the mainland since 1957, the island feel has never disappeared. You'll find fantastic views of water and meadows, and the living environment is picturesque. There's no shortage of amenities either. In the atmospheric old center of the former fishing village, you'll find shops for daily groceries and can enjoy a cozy meal out. And when the weather is nice, you can grab a seat on a terrace overlooking the marina. Marken also has (among other things) a primary school and a general practitioner. And do you like water sports? Then you can indulge yourself here. Marken is surrounded by water and you can dock in the marina.
Do you feel like experiencing the hustle and bustle of the big city for a bit? Amsterdam is only a thirty-minute drive away. If you take an electric bike, you'll be there in no time. And you'll be cycling through a magnificent fen meadow area rich in water and birdlife.
