Are you looking for a comfortable new-build apartment in a vibrant location in Amsterdam? Then the Embark new construction project is for you. In this playful yet robust building, you will live in the heart of the new NDSM urban district, with restaurants, shops, events, and the IJ river in the immediate vicinity. Embark has 96 owner-occupied apartments with three or four rooms and living areas ranging from approximately 70 to about 114 square meters. Notably, a large portion of the apartments have two balconies! Price indications start around 525,000 euros (free of transfer tax / v.o.n.). Sales will start soon. Sign up as an interested party and stay informed.
Embark will be a building with many outdoor spaces. You can see that at first glance: the balconies are linked together in a stepped arrangement, creating a playful yet robust appearance. That robustness is also due to the materials and colors used, which fit well with NDSM's past as a shipyard. The balconies have an ascending element that blocks the wind and provides privacy. Higher up in the building, you have a view of the IJ and the city. On the ground floor, there is a beautiful courtyard garden. And beneath Embark, there will be a parking garage for cars and bicycles. The housing offering (96 owner-occupied apartments) consists of three- and four-room apartments in various layouts. A brief overview:
The three-room apartments come in four main types. The living areas range from approximately 70 to 84 square meters and each type has its own floor plan. Naturally, you can also use the second bedroom as a hobby room, study, or home office. All three-room apartments have a balcony of approximately nine or thirteen square meters. Some even have two private outdoor spaces. The indicative prices range from approximately 525,000 to about 775,000 euros (free of transfer tax / costs included).
Are you looking for more space? Then go for a four-room apartment. These are available in two main types, with living areas of approximately 110 or 114 square meters. These apartments all have two balconies and it goes without saying that with so much space you also have room for a hobby, study, or working from home. The indicative prices range between approximately 900,000 and 1,050,000 euros (free of tax/costs).
The apartments in Embark are delivered with a high-end kitchen and beautiful sanitary facilities. That is all included in the purchase price. Thanks to (among other things) excellent insulation, solar panels, and district heating, you will also live here very energy-efficiently. And comfortably, even on hot summer days. Because then you can use the underfloor heating for floor cooling.
Embark is rising in the heart of the new NDSM residential district in Amsterdam-North, on the corner of Ms. Van Riemsdijkweg and the car-free Ms. Tarnweg. This is where the cultural and culinary part of the neighborhood – featuring restaurants and events, for example – transitions into the residential area. Daily amenities, such as an Albert Heijn supermarket, a bakery (Kometen Brood), schools, a health center, and sports clubs for yoga, fitness, or padel, are located in the immediate vicinity. Just like Hellingpark. You can find endless amounts of greenery just a ten-minute bike ride away in the Het Twiske nature and recreation area. Although you can also take a walk along the banks of the IJ for peace and space. Looking for much more urban bustle? Then take the ferry to Amsterdam Central Station. It departs a five-minute walk from your home. Or cycle to Noorderpark metro station.
The 96 owner-occupied apartments of Embark will soon go on sale. Interested? Then register via the project site Sign up as an interested party, and you will stay informed. You will automatically hear when the sale starts.
