Livability
An existing old school building that had fallen into disuse has regained an active place in the neighborhood with its new conversion into eight homes. All residents came from the neighborhood.
Housing quality
Due to the co-commissioning structure, the construction group had a say in what the building would look like. In addition, various sustainable features were installed, such as solar panels, and each resident had their interior custom-made.
Added value for the neighborhood
A disused characteristic school has been preserved and given a new, vibrant purpose. In addition, city residents have been housed in larger homes within their own neighborhoods, freeing up smaller homes for new Amsterdammers.
