And, of course, the modern residential buildings, which often resemble Amsterdam canal houses. But in a contemporary jacket. That characteristic, urban look is also reflected in the three buildings whose leasing will start soon. These are two towers and a surrounding building, with striking and colorful facades.
Behind those facades are the rental apartments. Their living areas range from 49 to 113 square meters. The apartments have two, three or four rooms, an indoor storage room and an outdoor space. They will be beautifully finished and equipped with underfloor heating (adjustable per room), a modern kitchen with built-in appliances and a complete bathroom and toilet. You only have to lay the floor and paint or wallpaper the walls, then you can start decorating and living. Very nice: each apartment has a videophone and fiberglass for high-speed internet. The basic rental prices range from 1,075 to 2,100 euros per month.
On the first floor will be all kinds of amenities, including a supermarket. So you really get your groceries around the corner. And under the buildings you can park your car. That is, if you rent a parking space with your apartment.
One of the towers stands out especially, thanks to the "jagged" top of the facade, reminiscent of a crown. That's how it's meant to be, says architect Joris Deur on the project site: "It is the crown, the final piece of the area." Recognizability was therefore very important in the design of the buildings, explains supervisor Sjoerd Soeters, also on the project site: "In Holland Park we wanted to develop an intimate, urban living place, where people can meet. A place with identity and character. You recognize the building where you live because the brickwork, facades and window frames of each building are unique."
Meeting each other, Soeters says. To make that as easy as possible, there is a beautiful courtyard garden and also a common living room. A community manager, who works for the entire neighborhood, helps organize fun activities. On top of that, Holland Park's outdoor space lends itself ideally to social contact. Thanks to the park strip, water features and playgrounds the neighborhood now has. And to the increasing number of amenities, such as stores, restaurants and sports facilities.
Holland Park is a new urban neighborhood that will soon contain about 6,000 homes. A good portion of these have already been built and occupied. You live close to everything here. If you feel like the hustle and bustle of the city, you can take the streetcar within walking distance, which will take you to the center of Amsterdam in ten minutes. Want to walk or exercise in nature? Then take the subway. That will take you to the Gaasperplas in five minutes. Or you bike to one of the parks in Diemen.
