Marinapark Houthaven is rising on Houthavenkade in the heart of Zaandam. To realize this new 'water district,' the marina currently located there (Jachthaven Dukra) is being completely renovated. In addition to twenty luxury berths for stationary authentic houseboats, you will find seven beautifully situated mooring spots for 'sailing' authentic houseboats here. Furthermore, there will be floating lodges for rent. There will also be a restaurant with a charming terrace. A boardwalk, almost 300 meters long and three meters wide, connects everything. The development of the area is progressing rapidly. The expectation is that the first water residents will be living here by the end of May (2025).
Every water lot in Marinapark Houthaven will receive its own house number. You will have your mailbox in the Entrance Building, which has yet to be built. You can also store your bicycles there. Where will you park your car? As a resident, you can apply for a public parking permit. Furthermore, all lots and ships will have a sewer connection. In addition, there will be separate water, electricity, and cable connections.
The prices of the still available water plots range from 204,000 to 345,000 euros (including costs), based on annual leasehold. A theater, a cinema, various sports facilities and schools are also within walking distance. A six-minute bike ride away is Zaandam's Central Station. From there you can travel to Amsterdam Central in ten minutes by train. By car it is about fifteen minutes to Amsterdam.
For people who do not yet own their own boat, Marinapark Houthaven also offers berths in combination with houseboats. These are delivered completely turn-key, making the transition from a house on land to a water resident a bit easier.
