Een mijlpaal voor het energiepositieve nieuwbouwproject The Hive in Amsterdam New West. Op maandag 21 september bereikte de bouw het hoogste punt. In The Hive – in 2025 uitgeroepen tot beste nieuwbouwproject wereldwijd – combineer je eigentijds wonen met een duurzame toekomst. Bijzonder onderdeel van het project is een klimaatbos, waarin je geniet van rust, groen en buitenlucht. Er zijn nog enkele two-room apartments beschikbaar vanaf 400.000 euro (v.o.n.). Goed om te weten: over ongeveer een jaar kun je hier al wonen!
Met het bereiken van het hoogste punt heeft The Hive zijn plek aan de Cornelis Lelylaan definitief ‘opgeëist’. Het is van een plan een gebouw geworden. In de komende maanden verschuift het werk naar binnen, zodat de woningen en gemeenschappelijke ruimtes vorm krijgen. “Het gebouw staat er”, zei Bastiaan Bijloos van Green Real Estate bij de viering van het hoogste punt. “Vanaf nu draait het steeds meer om de plekken en details die bewoners straks iedere dag gaan ervaren.”
One of the things that make The Hive "unlike anything else" is the climate forest that accompanies the project. This is unlike your average indoor garden. Thanks to this "urban jungle," you breathe fresh air among shady birches, field maples and black alders. You unwind on a bench, a swing or another "chill spot," while the sun's rays play through the trees. Through wooden decking paths surrounded by ferns and lily-of-the-valley, you experience nature. And you enjoy coolness and biodiversity. And all in the middle of the city, literally next door to your new construction apartment.
The sustainable ambitions of The Hive also give the project something extra. Rainwater will be retained, there will be greenery on the facades and there is - in addition to the climate forest - a beautiful roof garden. Moreover, the apartments have energy label A+++ or A++++. This not only offers great comfort and a lower energy bill (with normal consumption), but is also good for nature and the climate. Additional advantage: you can borrow more for the purchase of the apartment.
But there's another reason the project is so highly regarded: it offers a combination of living with nature, culture, neighborhood spirit and care. Here's the thing. The Hive consists of a new building complex and a municipal monument, which formerly housed Calvijn College. The apartments for sale will be in the new building. A health center will be located on the first floor. A parking garage and bicycle storage will be located under the building. The former school building will be preserved and will provide space for creative people, a daycare center (work studio) for people with disabilities, and a community room. That community room is the perfect place to meet other people.
What about accessibility? Lelylaan Station, where bus, train, streetcar and metro converge, is right next to your front door. So you can get to other parts of Amsterdam, or beyond, quickly and easily from here in many ways.
Klinkt dat je allemaal als muziek in de oren? Dan is er goed nieuws. Want er zijn nog enkele appartementen met eigen buitenruimte beschikbaar. Het gaat om tweekamerappartementen van rond de vijftig vierkante meter met koopsommen vanaf 400.000 euro (v.o.n.). Deze prijzen zijn op basis van een jaarlijkse erfpachtcanon. Bekijk het nog beschikbare woningaanbod via de house finder on the project site en schrijf je in voor het appartement van jouw voorkeur. Volgens Rik Verwaest van ontwikkelaar ION is dit hét moment om in te stappen. “Een woning kopen die pas over enkele jaren wordt opgeleverd, vraagt behoorlijk wat geduld. Bij The Hive is die periode nu een stuk korter. We verwachten dat de eerste bewoners over ongeveer een jaar de sleutel krijgen.”
