Sustainable and comfortable living in a place where the city is becoming increasingly green. Soon it will be possible in the new construction project The Forest in Amsterdam. Sloterdijk Station QuarterThe Forest consists of four buildings with 313 apartments and a lush inner garden. 122 apartments, distributed across the Cherry and Oak buildings, are expected to go on sale in November. On Tuesday 22 September there will be an information event. Then you can find out more about The Forest and register as an interested party.
The Forest is located on Naritaweg, near Station Sloterdijk. The project consists of 313 apartments, spread over four buildings. The 122 apartments that are expected to go on sale in November are located in the Oak and Cherry buildings. The prices have not yet been announced. However, it is clear that in Oak, the apartments are largely affordable homes. The apartments have a balcony or veranda facing south or west. They are sold on the basis of an annual ground rent. accommodation offer In short:
Both buildings offer three-room apartments of various types. The living areas range from approximately 48 to 81 square meters. They all have an efficient layout, with a living room with an open kitchen and two separate bedrooms. All apartments have a private outdoor space facing west or south.
The floor plan is of one of the three-room property types. The floor plans of the other property types can be found on the project website.
Are you looking for more space, for example because you have a family or work from home a lot? Then choose a four-room apartment. You’ll find it in the building Cherry. The living areas range from approximately 74 to 97 square meters. These are corner homes with a spacious living room with open kitchen, three bedrooms and a balcony facing south. Thanks to its south exposure, you benefit from plenty of sunshine.
The floor plan is for one of the four-bedroom home types rooms. The floor plans of the other housing types can be found on the project website.
Sustainability is central to The Forest. Green roofs and wadis collect rainwater, thereby reducing heat stress and helping to prevent waterlogging. At the same time, the living environment becomes extra green as a result. The apartments themselves are well insulated and are heated and cooled using a sustainable heat-cold storage system (WKO). This ensures comfortable and energy-efficient living.
The Forest is rising in the Sloterdijk Station District. This former office area is being transformed into a vibrant, green city district where you can live, work and relax. Parks between the homes and greenery along streets and in squares, façades and roofs create a more pleasant living environment. It looks nicer, provides cooling and attracts animals, such as birds. The Orly Square is therefore being landscaped as a park and the Arlandaweg will soon form a green connection between Westerpark and the Spieringhorn sports park, with a direct cycling route.
The Sloterdijk Station Quarter is not only growing. It is also getting more and more amenities. In the immediate vicinity, there will be a new school, supermarkets, and places to exercise and relax. At the same time, the rest of the city is close by. Station Amsterdam Sloterdijk is a five-minute walk away, with quick bus, tram, and train connections. You can also get to the A10 and the A5, heading to the Zuidas, Schiphol, Haarlem, or Utrecht.
