ZaandamIn this new water neighborhood, three new berths for houseboats are available. All three are suitable for a newly built houseboat, and two are also suitable for an existing houseboat. The three new water plots are located on the northernmost jetty of Marinapark Houthaven. These are the houseboat berths at Badhuisweg 154, 156, and 158.
If you choose a berth with a newly built residential barge, you are choosing convenience and comfort. Everything on your residential barge will then be brand new and completely meet modern (living) requirements. And with about 153 square meters (spread over two floors), you will have plenty of space. The purchase price will be determined shortly. During the open house, you will receive all the information, including about the possibilities for customisation.
The two berths where you can also moor an existing houseboat are located at Badhuisweg 156 and 158. The maximum dimensions for these houseboats are 17.5 meters (length), 5.5 meters (width), and 4.5 meters (height). This height means that these houseboats are also permitted to have two residential floors. The purchase prices of the berths are 279,000 and 289,000 euros (free of transfer tax / v.o.n.). Good to know: the houseboats must comply with the aesthetic and architectural criteria (welstandscriteria).
Each berth has a sewer connection and its own water, electricity, and cable connections. The stated prices are based on an annual ground lease canon. You also pay an annual amount for park fees.
Besides these three new houseboat berths, several other berths are available for large(r) houseboats. The prices for these (including the berths under option) range from 204,000 to 327,000 euros (free of transfer tax). These involve water plots of various sizes, suitable for houseboats measuring from 25 by 5.1 meters to 40 by 6.7 meters.
Marinapark Houthaven is located on the Houthavenkade in the heart of Zaandam, a historic site. To create this new waterfront neighborhood, the marina at that location has been completely renovated. This has resulted in a floating residential area with (among other things) berths for various types of (large) houseboats, floating rental lodges, a restaurant, and a wide boardwalk that connects everything together. An extra attractive feature is its location in the heart of Zaandam. As a result, you have numerous shops, coffee bars, cafes, and restaurants close by. A theater, cinema, various sports facilities, and schools are also within walking distance. Zaandam Central Station is a six-minute bike ride away. From there, you can travel by train to Amsterdam Central in ten minutes. By car, it is about fifteen minutes to Amsterdam.
