Bajeskwartier wordt een groene, gezonde en tegelijk hoogstedelijke wijk in Amsterdam Oost, vlak bij de Amstel, met ongeveer 1.350 woningen. De wijk verrijst op de plek van de voormalige Bijlmerbajes. Er komt niet alleen nieuwbouw in Bajeskwartier. Van de voormalige gevangenis zijn het hoofdgebouw, het ketelhuis, de kerk en de keuken bewaard gebleven.
