Spacious apartments in a characteristic building in the popular Spaarndammerbuurt in Amsterdam WestYou can find them in the Bredius new-build project, a new building in the attractive 'brick style' of the Amsterdam School. Discover the remaining available homes during the Open House at the construction site on Friday, September 19 (3:00 PM - 4:30 PM). There is no need to register, so you can just drop by. The construction site is located at Zaanstraat.
The apartments still available in Bredius are four-room apartments, including type K6. These are apartments of about 87 square meters with a southwest-facing balcony. From your home you look out over the neighborhood, the characteristic Zaanstraat, and the courtyard garden (with tiny forest). There are also a few larger apartments available, also with four rooms. Their living areas are approximately 94 and 128 (!) square meters.
The prices of the still available apartments in Bredius start at 725,000 euros (free of tax on transfer). This purchase price is based on an annual ground rent payment. If you prefer to buy off the leasehold in perpetuity, the purchase prices start at 966,781 euros (free of tax on transfer).
In addition to apartments, Bredius also offers space for work studios intended for entrepreneurs in (among other sectors) the creative industry. These work studios will all be located on the ground floor. There is also a 'living room' with daytime hospitality. This will be an ideal meeting place for residents and people from the neighborhood. Together with the magnificent inner courtyard, which is also accessible from the outside through graceful round gates in the building, all of this will bring the place to life.
Construction of Bredius is progressing. Before the summer break, the roof of the parking garage was completed. The contractor is now working on the ground floor. These activities will be finished in about three weeks, after which the building will "go up" fairly quickly section by section. As soon as a section is ready and the roof is waterproof, the interior finishing will begin. In this way, Bredius will take shape more and more in the coming period. Completion is expected in the fourth quarter of 2026.
Are you interested in an apartment in Bredius? Then view the still available homes via the offers page on the project website. And come to the Open House on Friday, September 19, at the construction site on Zaanstraat in Amsterdam. Between 3:00 p.m. and 4:30 p.m., you can check out the progress of the construction and talk with the real estate agents and the builder. At the same time, you can enjoy all kinds of treats prepared by a professional barista. You’ll also have the chance to explore the beautiful, historic Spaarndammerbuurt neighborhood. No registration is required.
Are you unable to attend on Friday, September 19, or would you like to register now? You can do that via the supply page. View the listings, create an account, and sign up. The real estate agent will then contact you regarding the next steps. You can also sign up for properties that are under option; after all, those apartments may become available again.
Bredius is being built on Zaanstraat in one of Amsterdam’s most beautiful neighborhoods: the Spaarndammerbuurt. This neighborhood is best known for the beautiful brick architecture of the Amsterdam School. The human scale is the defining feature here, with decorative elements on the facades, steep roofs, unique shapes, and a beautiful palette of colors. One of the most notable examples of this is Museum Het Schip, located diagonally across from Bredius.
But the Spaarndammerbuurt offers more. For example, on Spaarndammerstraat you will find shops for daily groceries, specialty stores, and hospitality venues. And on the other side of the railway lies the Westerpark with the Westergasfabriek. At this cultural and culinary hotspot you will find cafes, eateries, galleries, a cinema, various clubs, and more. Good to know: Central Station is a six-minute bike ride away. And if you take the car, you are on the A10 or A5 in just a few minutes.
