Today's living comfort, the atmosphere and architecture of the past. That combination makes the new-build development Gouwhaven in the picturesque Monnickendam very attractive. Then there is the location: by the harbor, near the historic city center of Monnickendam. The first 49 apartments are now on sale with prices starting from 400,000 euros (free of transfer tax)! Register via the project site.
The housing supply in this first phase comprises two-, three- and four-room apartments (including a penthouse) with living areas ranging from approximately 55 to about 156 square meters. All homes have their own outdoor space, ranging from a Delft-style stoop to a balcony or (roof) terrace. Prices range from 400,000 to 1,295,000 euros (free of property transfer tax / v.o.n.). The housing supply in brief:
All apartments are delivered with a complete kitchen. That is often large spacious enough for a large dining table. Ideal for cozy dinners or drinks. Also a beautiful bathroom, with or without a second toilet, is included in the purchase price. Furthermore, every apartment has an indoor storage room. Would you like to add a (covered) parking space? That is possible. The costs for that are 35,000 euros (free of transfer tax).
Are you interested in an apartment in this first phase of Gouwhaven? Then go to the project site, view the housing supply, create an account, and sign up. Please note: it is wise to have a free financial check done before registering, so you know whether you can finance your preferred home(s). You can request such a check, which you need for your registration, from your bank or mortgage advisor. Or via this page on Rabobank's website.
Gouwhaven is in a unique location: between the lively harbor, the Hemmeland recreation area, and the historic city center of Monnickendam. You live here on or near the water of the Gouwzee, allowing you to always enjoy a magnificent view. At the same time, the shops, restaurants, and terraces of Monnickendam's charming center are just around the corner. The historic facades you see there serve as a wonderful source of inspiration for the architecture in Gouwhaven, much like the robust warehouses of the nearby Hakvoort Shipyard. Both styles are reflected in Gouwhaven, but with a modern twist. For example, the townhouses in Gouwhaven are reminiscent of old, stately merchant homes, while the apartment buildings clearly nod to the industrial shipyard architecture.
Gouwhaven will get over 700 homes in a wide variety of types: studios, apartments, penthouses, and townhouses. The homes are highly energy-efficient, thanks in part to excellent insulation, solar panels, and underfloor heating. This makes a difference on your energy bill (with normal usage) and also allows you to borrow more. Very convenient: the apartment buildings are equipped with an elevator. Nice and easy when you have heavy grocery bags to lug around. The neighborhood will be developed in 5 phases and will not only provide space for homes. There will also be hospitality venues, a supermarket, and other businesses. Childcare is also included in the plans.
