Amsteloever: sustainable apartments for sale and rent in Amsterdam, with many opportunities for connection

State-of-the-art studios, apartments, and penthouses, panoramic views, excellent energy performance, a strong focus on biodiversity, and attractive amenities that foster connection and a sense of community. New development project Amsteloever, next to Amstel Station in Amsterdam East, it offers it all. According to developer Ballast Nedam Development, the project is not just a home, but a lifestyle.

Amsteloever: approximately 335 owner-occupied and (mid-priced) rental homes

Amsteloever comprises approximately 335 owner-occupied and rental properties, with the rental properties mainly falling into the mid-priced category. In addition to housing, the project features several communal rooftop gardens, a community room, and an elegant passage. Each of these is a space for enjoyable activities and meeting neighbors. Furthermore, there will be areas for hospitality, retail, and working from home. Beneath the complex, there will be a (public) parking garage.

Meeting, community spirit, sustainability, and biodiversity in Amsteloever

The project is characterized not only by the promotion of social interaction and community spirit. The excellent energy performance and the emphasis on sustainability and (urban) nature are also typical of Amsteloever. "It is high-rise with a lot of wood and a lot of space for biodiversity in the city and in public areas," says CEO Onno Dwars of Ballast Nedam Development. How all of this will look in concrete terms will be detailed in the coming period. What is certain is that Amsteloever will become a 'showcase of innovation,' where luxurious and sustainable living go hand in hand.

Also 400 social housing units

The newly to be built residential complex is part of the redevelopment of the Van der Kun neighbourhood. In addition to Amsteloever, approximately 400 social rental homes will be built. These will be realized by housing corporation Stadgenoot. This will create a sustainable neighbourhood where people from all target groups can find suitable housing. To make space for the new construction, some of the current homes will have to be demolished. The demolition of these homes is expected to start at the end of this year. "With this development between Amsteloever and the Amstel Station, we are giving a huge boost to this area," says Dwars.
