The fortified town of Weesp, now part of Amsterdam, is an atmospheric green gem in the heart of the Gooi and Vecht region. Weesp is located on the Vecht River and has a beautiful, historic character. In the pleasant center, you'll find all sorts of restaurants, cafes, and specialty shops, as well as a (film) theater and a health center. Despite all its history, you'll also find plenty of new construction in Weesp.
