Adam Ademt will soon feature approximately 190 homes: apartments and single-family houses, for sale and in the (mid-priced) rental sector. The family homes come in several variations, with living areas ranging from about 80 to no less than 200 square meters. The project targets first-time buyers, couples, families, and people looking to move up to a larger home (upgraders). The plans are still under development. Therefore, it is not yet known how many apartments there will be, how many single-family homes, or what the approximate prices will be.

Loose pavilions in a natural, dune-like environment
Well-known is the layout of the new neighborhood. Adam ademt will look different from most newly built neighborhoods. The buildings with apartments and family homes will soon stand as loose pavilions in a green environment with sand as a subsurface. Height differences, winding paths, wooden play equipment, coarse vegetation, and wooden decking create a natural environment. A bit "dune-like," exactly what you would expect in an area named Strandeiland. Terraces and verandas connect that beautiful outdoor world with your home. And then there are also the communal courtyard gardens.

Not only does the outdoor space get a strong natural character, but the homes do too. They are largely made of wood and other natural materials. They are also very energy-efficient, which increases your living comfort and keeps your energy bill (with normal usage) under control. In addition, the neighborhood will be largely car-free.

Strandeiland is Amsterdam's newest island, located in the IJburg neighborhood. Here, you live surrounded by water and close to shops for daily groceries, childcare, a general practice, various restaurants, a theater (Theater Vrijburcht), a park (the new Tagorepark on Strandeiland), and Strand IJburg, which includes Surfcenter IJburg, among other things. And want to head into the city? Then you simply hop on the tram at Pampuslaan. Or you take your bike. If you cycle at a decent pace, you can reach Amsterdam Central Station within half an hour. With an e-bike, you are there even faster.
