Furthermore, you'll find several primary schools, multiple daycare centers, a vibrant club scene, and a beautiful outdoor swimming pool. And nowhere north of the major rivers can you celebrate carnival as well as in Zwaag.
Lourdes Chapel
Notable buildings in the village include the churches and the Lourdes Chapel, built in 1882. This is one of the oldest Lourdes Chapels in the Netherlands. Inside, there is a replica of the grotto in Lourdes, France, where Mary is said to have appeared.
Accessible by car and train
Zwaag is located right next to Hoorn. This means you have all of Hoorn's amenities, such as shops, restaurants, cultural attractions, marinas, and public transport, close at hand. You can reach Zwaag by car via the A7 and the N307. If you're traveling by train, you'll get off at Hoorn's NS (Dutch Railways) station.
