De Krijgsman Muiden: new construction site on historic land
The area was once part of the Defence Line of Amsterdam. This is a series of defensive works that had to protect Amsterdam from enemy armies. Beautiful remnants of both the factory and the fortifications have been preserved. De Krijgsman Muiden also offers lovely walks along forest paths and through park-like areas. And if you want a breath of fresh air, you can walk to the IJmeerdijk. There you can enjoy the view over the water.
