More and more housing on the Zuidas
Once built as a business district, the Zuidas is increasingly also becoming a city neighborhood where you can live and work. About 5,300 people now live in the district (2024 figures) and the number is growing. More and more housing is therefore being added, especially in apartment complexes. Yet the number of people working is still much larger: over 50,000. To that will also be added about 32,000 students.
Approximately 2,000 companies
Thanks to its good accessibility (also by public transport) and convenient location (close to both Schiphol Airport and Amsterdam's city center), the Zuidas attracts numerous national and international companies and institutions. Some 2,000 are now located there.
