New construction in the Klaprozenbuurt neighborhood, Amsterdam

The Klaprozenbuurt lies between the Northern IJ banks (NDSM and Buiksloterham) and the older neighborhoods of Amsterdam North. More specifically: between Klaprozenweg, Zijkanaal I (with its harbor for houseboats), Buiksloterdijk and the Bloemenbuurt. The area is currently primarily a business park, but that is about to change. In the next few years, many new buildings will spring up in the Klaprozenbuurt so that it will truly become a residential neighborhood.

Larger locations

Klaprozenbuurt, Amsterdam Noord: approximately 2,000 new homes

Approximately 2,000 homes, in many cases apartments, are intended to be built in the Klaprozenbuurt. These homes are for all target groups. Companies that have to relocate for the housing construction can return after the neighborhood's transformation, unless they pollute the environment.

Parks, shops, schools, food and drink, and more

Lots of greenery will be incorporated between, on, and around the residential buildings. A park is also included in the plans. The ground floor of the apartment complexes on Klaprozenweg will feature space for shops and businesses. The neighborhood is also intended to have two primary schools, two supermarkets, restaurants/cafes, and healthcare and welfare facilities.
