De Bongerd is located in the western part of Amsterdam Noord, close to the nature of Waterland and Het Twiske. The neighborhood, a modern garden village with plenty of space and greenery, is being built on the site of a former industrial area and allotment gardens complex. There will be a significant amount of new construction in De Bongerd; by 2028, the neighborhood is intended to have approximately 1,250 homes.

Close to nature and the NDSM hotspot

De Bongerd is rising centrally in the western part of Amsterdam Noord, in the bend of Zijkanaal I. The new district is not only close to the nature of Waterland and Het Twiske, but also to another new city district in Noord: NDSM. There you will find all sorts of creative companies and hip hospitality businesses. There are also regular fun festivals. NDSM is truly a culinary and cultural hotspot.
