Project description
The project De Nieuwe Meester is a new construction project in Nieuw-West at the corner of Jan Tooropstraat and Johan Jongkindstraat. It is located very close to OLVG-West hospital and within walking distance of Amsterdam Lelylaan. An old office building stood on the site. The residential building features 66 high-quality rental apartments.

This complex consists of 7 residential floors with a total of 66 apartments (ranging from 50m² without outdoor space to 80m² with outdoor space) and 40 parking spaces in the semi-underground parking garage. All apartments feature a luxurious kitchen and a high-quality bathroom and toilet. Furthermore, all apartments are assigned an external storage unit of 5m² in the parking garage.

The Jan Tooropstraat has steadily transformed into a residential street in recent years, and De Nieuwe Meester marks the southern entrance to this street. The facades of the residential building are constructed from rich brickwork. The facade on Jan Tooropstraat features street-level front doors, with seemingly randomly staggered balconies above them. This facade suits Jan Tooropstraat as a residential street and connects to the adjacent building, 'Urban Garden.' The Johan Jongkindstraat is and remains an important connecting street from the Ring road to Lelylaan and the districts behind it. On this side, a stricter division has been chosen, with partially recessed balconies.
