The De Heelmeesters residential and office building is part of the Eenhoorn area and is located between the Gooiseweg and the Wibautstraat in the Oost district. Until recently, this was primarily a business park. The program includes 178 rental apartments and 2,600 m2 of office space.
The design provides for two U-shaped blocks with inner courtyards that together form a strong urban ensemble with views of the Ringdijk water. Beneath both blocks are two semi-underground parking garages. The base of the complex consists of four floors with apartments. It rises in height to a maximum of seven stories, with the penthouses on the top two levels. Four corner sections, with cantilevered rounded panoramic balconies from the second floor, overlook the water. The entrances to the residences and the commercial space are accentuated by being set back slightly in the facade. The residences face the green inner courtyard on the inside of the blocks, with openings towards the parking garage.
