The Erna van der Pershuis is a special small-scale residential building for people with an auditory disability. People who need extra support in daily life find customized housing there. The complex developed by the Alliance offers fourteen independent two- and three-room homes and eight studios with a communal living room and kitchen. The surface areas range from approximately 20 m² (studio) to 62 m² (three-room home).
The homes are exclusively for Zaamzorg clients. The new residential building on Zeeburger Island has been renamed the Erna van der Pershuis. The healthcare organization thereby honors the director of de Alliantie in Amsterdam, who died on the construction site almost three years ago after an antique piling rig fell over.
