Wormer is one of the oldest places in the Zaan region and is located in the bend of the river Zaan. That bend is generally considered the most beautiful part of the Zaan. This is mainly because of the historic warehouses and factories that stand on its banks. For that reason, but also because of the extensive peat meadow landscape, Wormer is a nice place to live. This is fortunate, because in the coming years a lot of new buildings will be developed in Wormer.
