Zuyderhoven is part of the De Scheg-West expansion district, on the south side of Amstelveen. It will be a quiet, village-like neighborhood with around 800 homes, yet it will be close to the city. Zuyderhoven will primarily feature single-family homes, semi-detached houses, and detached villas in various forms. Car-free courtyards, playgrounds, plenty of greenery, canals, and pedestrian bridges over these canals will define the atmosphere. And, of course, the modern-classic architecture, which will ensure a stately and charming appearance. You’ll see atmospheric bay windows, elegant balconies, shutters, overhanging gutters, playfully protruding facade elements, long roof slopes, cross gables, wooden details on the facades, bricks in various colors, and windows with mullions.
The ten exclusive villas in phase 3 will have a similar classic-modern look. You can choose from three types: Villa Buitenhof, Villa Rietvink, and Villa Zuyderhof. Each villa has a spacious living room with an open kitchen. Two types (Buitenhof and Rietvink) also have an extra room downstairs for a hobby or home office. French doors connect the living room and kitchen to the garden. On the first floor, you will find four bedrooms, the bathroom (with a shower and bathtub), and an additional (separate) toilet. The attic is large enough for one or two extra rooms. However, you can also leave the space open and place, for example, fitness equipment there. The attached garage serves as storage. After all, you can park your car(s) in the driveway. Plenty of space.
The Buitenhof and Rietvink villas (with thatched roofs) are available in two different versions. These versions may feature, for example, a different window layout, different brick colors, and more or less woodwork on the facades. The three types of villas in brief:
Each villa in this phase of Zuyderhoven is very energy-efficient (preliminary energy label A++++). This is due (among other things) to the excellent floor, wall, and ceiling insulation, the triple glazing, the solar panels on the roof, and the ground-source heat pump. This results in a lower energy bill (with normal consumption). You also have more financial room to purchase the home.
Zuyderhoven, as has already been said, rises on the golden edge of Amstelveen. It will be a spacious, green, water-rich, and child-friendly neighborhood. Here you can relax, and your children can play happily outdoors and cycle safely to and from school. That school will soon be located in the neighborhood, as will childcare. You can also do your daily shopping at the Westwijk shopping center, just a few minutes away by bike. If you are looking for urban liveliness, you can go to the city center of Amstelveen. There you can shop, dine out, catch a movie, go to the theater, or visit a museum (Cobra Museum). Speaking of the city: the center of Amsterdam is only twenty minutes away by car.
