In one of the most beautiful spots in this village, the Zaanbocht, the new development HIER aan de Zaan is rising. 'HIER' will comprise approximately 240 owner-occupied and rental homes for various target groups, in fitting architecture. The first eighty homes will soon go on sale, as was announced during an information evening on Thursday, April 16. Prices will range from approximately €335,000 to around €870,000 (including costs).
HERE on the Zaan is a place for people who are involved with each other and their living environment. You can feel the charm of the village, and all amenities are nearby. An inspiration for HERE is the industrial history of the Zaan region. You can see this especially in the apartment buildings, which are reminiscent of the sturdy, historic brick warehouses along the Zaan. The other homes will also have a robust appearance. At the same time, there is a lot of attention to sightlines towards the water, allowing you to experience the space and freedom of the river everywhere in the neighborhood.

The apartments are located in a warehouse-like building on the water, with a lot of brick and glass. They have living spaces ranging from over 53 to almost 96 square meters, with two or three rooms and a balcony or loggia. The price ranges vary from approximately 335,000 to 575,000 euros (including purchase tax). A parking space in the underground garage is assigned to a number of apartments. You will purchase this in addition.
On the ground floor of the apartment building, there are several maisonnettes. These two-story apartments are approximately 68 to 127 square meters in size. They have two, three, or four rooms and a balcony or loggia. You have a front door at street level, but you can also enter on the first floor. The larger maisonnettes are very suitable for combining living and working. The price ranges vary from approximately 365,000 to 585,000 euros (V.O.N. - voluntary transaction without costs). For a number of these homes, a parking space in the garage is included.
One of the apartments is a spacious penthouse of approximately 134 square meters with four rooms. What's special about this penthouse is the generous loggia across the full width of the home, with a fantastic view over the Zaan River. This apartment comes with two parking spaces, which you purchase separately. The price range: from approximately 830,000 to 870,000 euros (k.k.).
The ground floor and upper floor apartments come in various forms. The ground floor apartments are on a single level and are approximately 56 square meters. They have one bedroom and a garden. The upper floor apartments are split-level and have living areas ranging from approximately 82 to 85 square meters. These apartments also have one bedroom. The outdoor space is a roof terrace.
Two down-up apartments (building numbers 5 and 16) are three-story and have an extra room. The living areas are approximately 92 and 96 square meters. Prices range from approximately 350,000 to 445,000 euros (including costs).
The corner and terraced houses come in various types. The living areas range from approximately 98 to 124 square meters. The layout is classic: a living room with an open kitchen downstairs, three bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs, and a second floor that can be freely configured. You can create one or two additional (bed)rooms there. You also have a nice garden with a storage shed. The price ranges vary from approximately 495,000 to 635,000 euros (including costs).
The semi-detached houses come in two types. The living areas range from approximately 111 to 122 square meters. Just like with the corner and mid-terrace houses, you have the living room with an open-plan kitchen on the ground floor and three bedrooms and the bathroom on the first floor. On the freely divisible second floor, you can (optionally) create two more (bed)rooms. You also have a nice garden with a shed. The price ranges: from approximately 570,000 to 655,000 euros (including costs).
In HIER aan de Zaan, there is ample space for greenery. In the heart of the neighborhood, a green zone will be created where people can meet and children can play. Parts of the area will also be car-free. Wormer is large enough for numerous amenities, such as shops for daily groceries, nice restaurants, primary schools, and sports clubs. So, you'll have all of these nearby. Just outside the village, expansive nature and fen meadow areas beckon, such as the magnificent nature reserve Wormer- en Jisperveld.
How about accessibility? There's a train station a five-minute bike ride away in the neighboring village of Wormerveer. From there, you can travel to Zaandam in nine minutes, to Amsterdam in 21 minutes, and to Alkmaar in 37 minutes. These cities are also quite easily accessible by car, as is the North Sea beach.
