Living in a car-free environment with several restaurants, a gym and a supermarket around the corner. And with a view over the water, where pleasure yachts and barges glide by daily. It is possible in new construction project Houtsma on Cruquius Island at Amsterdam East, just a ten-minute bike ride from downtown. Phase 2, with 58 apartments and townhomes, goes on sale Saturday, Feb. 14. There will be a sales event near the construction site then. Prices have not yet been set.
Houtsma is rising on the quay of Cruquius Island in Amsterdam, on the Amsterdam-Rhine Canal. The buildings will have a robust appearance, with lots of brick and glass. This fits nicely with the industrial history of the area. The project has 263 apartments and town houses, both for sale and for rent. The homes are grouped around two green courtyards. The townhomes are two-story and face the car-free quay. The apartments are located above the townhouses, on the side streets or on the inner courtyards.
The second phase, which goes on sale on Saturday, Feb. 14, consists of 43 apartments, nine townhomes and six so-called specials. Parking is reserved for most homes in the garage below. You can read more about the three housing types below:
The apartments in the second phase of Houtsma have two, three or four rooms and living areas ranging from approximately 59 to 88 square meters. All apartments have a balcony or terrace. Large windows guarantee plenty of light. Prices have not yet been set.
The townhouses are two-story, have three or four rooms and are about 98 to 117 square meters. A special feature is that your entrance is pretty much on the quay. Between your house and the water are at most some greenery and a promenade. You can therefore very well place your garden set here and enjoy watching the passing ships. No prices have been determined yet.
The specials are apartments with just that little bit extra. Like high ceilings, a corner location, an extra large terrace or multiple outdoor spaces. These homes also have three or four rooms. The living areas range from approximately 54 to 155 square meters. The purchase prices for the specials have not yet been determined either.
In Houtsma you live spacious, comfortable and energy efficient. The latter is partly due to the sustainable heat and cold storage system, fed by energy from surface water. All homes come with a beautiful and complete bathroom (and toilet) by top brand Tortu. The homes are offered without a kitchen. Great though: LEIGHT Amsterdam has put together an offer kitchen for Houtsma. You can choose this kitchen or design another one together with the specialists of LEICHT to suit your needs.
By the way, there are still homes available in the first phase of Houtsma. That phase also consists of apartments, townhouses and specials. Of these, only a few apartments are still for sale, for which you can register immediately. These are a number of three-room apartments of approximately 73 to 85 square meters with purchase prices starting at 618,915 euros (v.o.n.). There is also a spacious four-room apartment of approximately 158 square meters available with a purchase price of 1,106,574 euros (v.o.n.). These prices are based on annual ground rent. View the still available homes from phase 1 via the house finder on the project site and sign up.
Houtsma is rising "beyond the kink" in Cruquius Island, a peninsula in Amsterdam's Eastern Docklands. There is no through traffic 'on Cruquius' anyway, but beyond the kink it is even quieter. At the same time, all kinds of amenities are within walking distance. Like several fine restaurants, a coffee bar, a beer brewery (with bar), a gym, a supermarket and an elementary school. Just outside the neighborhood, at biking distance, you will find the Flevopark. For urban bustle, you don't have to go far either. To the bustling center of Amsterdam is only ten minutes by bike.
Are you interested in an apartment, townhouse or special in the second phase of Houtsma? Then come to the start sales event on Saturday, Feb. 14. You will get information about the housing offer and can talk to the brokers and developers. You can also explore the area, because the event will take place in the Amvest Studio at Cruquiusweg 83 in Amsterdam. That is within walking distance of where Houtsma is being built. Do sign up and choose a time slot. You can via this link.
Coming by car? Then park in Parking Garage Zeeburgerkade at Wijnsilostraat 2 in Amsterdam. This is within walking distance of the event.
In addition to talking to Houtsma brokers and developers, you can also talk to ING mortgage specialists during the event. You can ask questions about your financial options and schedule a follow-up appointment.
Registration for the homes is through the project site and starts the same day as the start of sale event: Saturday, Feb. 14 (10:00 a.m.). Registration closes Monday, March 2 (12:00 noon).
