New housing supply is coming to The Warrior Muiden, the special residential landscape with plenty of greenery, water, and history on the IJmeer near MuidenIt concerns 74 newly built single-family homes in various types and architectural styles, which nevertheless form a cohesive whole. The purchase prices start at 695,000 euros (free on board). Sales are expected to start this spring. Sign up now via the project site, then you stay informed.
In the name of the project – Powder Trail Ramp & Production Line – the area's history as an ammunition factory is clearly echoed. The architects also nod to this in their designs. Some of the homes bear a resemblance to the brick warehouses of the past. Most homes have a fairly robust appearance anyway. You see a lot of bricks in quiet, earthy colors. And many dormers are almost cross-gables, just like old industrial buildings have.
The living areas of the corner and terraced houses range from approximately 107 to no less than 183 square meters. Between these extremes, you will find many homes of around 126 and 146 square meters. There is therefore plenty of choice. The homes have two, three, or four bedrooms and often an attic floor that can be arranged as desired. They all have a lovely garden.
The delivery includes a luxury kitchen, attractive sanitary facilities and tiling, and underfloor heating and cooling. Furthermore, they are very energy-efficient, thanks in part to the excellent insulation, the geothermal heat pump, and heat recovery. That saves on your energy costs, can result in a lower interest rate, and potentially more borrowing capacity. And it is also very comfortable.
Almost all homes in this project overlook water. The homes on the Kruitpadwal are a few meters from the Muidertrekvaart and (most) homes on the Productielijn also overlook a waterway.
De Krijgsman Muiden is rising on the site of a former gunpowder factory. The area is located just east of Amsterdam, close to the historic fortress town of Muiden and the magnificent Muiderslot Castle. It was once part of the Defence Line of Amsterdam, a series of fortifications designed to protect Amsterdam against enemy armies. Beautiful remains of both the factory and the fortifications have been preserved. Furthermore, the area is wonderful for walking along forest paths and through park-like areas. And if you want to get some fresh air, you can easily walk to the dike along the IJmeer. The neighborhood is in full development. Besides (increasingly more) homes, you will now also find an Albert Heijn supermarket, a hospitality pavilion (accessible by sloop via the Kruitvaart canal!), a primary school, and a daycare center.
