Oostenburg in Amsterdam Center is traditionally a working island. In recent years, the area was best known for the hospitality venues Roest and Rosa & Rita, and for the INIT building. Among other things, it houses the editorial offices of The Parole and de Volkskrant established. That is changing. Oostenburg is increasingly becoming a lively urban neighborhood where you can also live. Eventually the district will have about 2,000 homes: houses for sale and rental (social, medium and private sector), as well as houses on self-build plots. So a lot of new construction on Oostenburg. And all in the center of Amsterdam, within walking and biking distance of all the downtown hotspots.
