Three spacious new-build homes, arranged in a traditional agricultural barn, with views over lush polders yet close to Amsterdam. Discover the small-scale new-build project Broekermeerdijk in the village WaterwayLocated just north of Amsterdam. Sales will start soon. At the moment, no prices have been announced. Construction is expected to start in early 2027. Delivery is expected to be at the end of 2027..
New construction, traditional architecture, polders, the city. The project on the Broekermeerdijk in Watergang is a pot of attractive contradictions. There might be one more: the black wooden cladding and the enormous amount of daylight that falls in through the large glass windows. Where the project does not form any contrast with it, is its surroundings. The architecture is inspired by the agricultural barns that you see a lot in Waterland. Characteristic are the high roofs and the black wooden cladding. In the language of architects: the building ‘fits into the landscape’.
Two of the three single-family homes (‘Boomgaardzicht’ and ‘Weidezicht’) are approximately 167 square meters in size, one home (‘Polderzicht’) has a living area of approximately 173 square meters and breathtaking views of the polder. The layout is similar. On the ground floor you have a spacious living room with an open kitchen. The first floor offers space for three bedrooms and the bathroom. And then there’s the attic with the fourth bedroom, which can be reached via a staircase. Multiple skylights provide extra light.
On the south and west sides, large glass windows provide plenty of natural light and a wonderful view of the garden and the polders behind it. The garden is spacious and has a storage room. Outside you also have space for two private parking spaces with charging points ready for use.
The ‘shed-style’ houses are superbly insulated (they have, among other things, triple glazing) and feature balanced ventilation with heat recovery and a heat pump. There are solar panels on the roof. The energy performance is therefore excellent. This means you have more living comfort and, with normal consumption, your energy bill is lower.
The new Broekermeerdijk development is located on the namesake dyke in Watergang, in the middle of the open landscape of Waterland. The plot borders the Broekervaart. On the other side, the vast polder landscape beckons. At the same time, Amsterdam, Broek in Waterland, Monnickendam and Purmerend are within cycling distance or a short drive.
