New construction South

Amsterdam Zuid is a popular place to live. It consists of various popular neighborhoods such as De Pijp, Rivierenbuurt, Museum Quarter and the area around Stadionplein.
New construction in Amsterdam South
The largest new construction location in Amsterdam South is the Zuidas . This runs from the Amstel on both sides of the A10 ring road to the Schinkel on the west side of the Zuid district. Although this area is known as an office location, various residential towers are also being built. In the coming years the offer will be doubled again.
New housing supply is also being added on and around Stadionplein. Two apartment complexes are currently under construction on the former parking lot.
In the popular neighborhood De Pijp recently started the Asscherkwartier. A mix of apartments and town houses will be developed in and behind the former municipal archive.

Facilities
Amsterdam Zuid offers many parks. The Vondelpark is undoubtedly the best known, but also the Sarphatipark in De Pijp, the Amstelpark along the Amstel and the Beatrixpark next to the RAI offers residents a place for a walk.
The Museumplein is home to the most famous museums in the Netherlands: the Rijksmuseum, the Vincent van Gogh Museum and the Stedelijk Museum. Opposite the Museumpein is the world-famous Concertgebouw.
All neighborhoods also have their own shopping areas. In the Pijp are the Ferdinand Bolstraat and the Van Woustraat with in between the Albert Cuyp Market and the Ceintuurbaan. Next to the Vondelpark, the PC Hooftstraat runs with the chic shops. The Beethovenstraat runs in Oud-Zuid. Buitenveldert has recently completely renovated Gelderlandplein. Olympiaplein also offers a diverse selection and finally Hoofddorpplein is also a popular shopping spot.
