New construction in Weespersluis
Weespersluis is located near Amsterdam. A new residential area in Weesp where 2.750 homes will be realized. Weespersluis is 10 minutes from Amsterdam, close to ‘t Gooi and the Vecht. Only a third of the area is cultivated; two thirds of the area remains open to water and nature. In Weespersluis new water comes into contact with the Vecht.
Weespersluis is built in the ‘Fin de siècle’ architecture, a richly decorated style with indoor outdoor spaces such as bay windows, conservatories, verandas and loggias and facades with a vertical character. The qualities of the environment are a source of inspiration for the design of the residential landscape. There are different types of housing around courtyards, park streets and singles. Each neighborhood gets its own character. The new district consists of three sub-areas; The Vechtrijk, Lanenrijk and Waterrijk.
Water, Vechtrijk and Lanenrijk
In the sub-areas there are different types of housing, such as mansions, two-hairdressers and detached villas. There are also lots for self-construction. The landscape and water play an important role in the new district. For example, Vechtrijk is oriented towards the Vecht, with houses in park streets with closed corners. Laan is more a neighborhood with canals, avenues and courtyards. Waterrijk is located along a green park-like boulevard. Here, among other things, villas come in the middle of the landscape and lots of water on the water with their own jetty.
Entrepreneurship and provisions
In Weespersluis, shops, catering establishments and facilities such as a primary school and a sports hall. The plans are not yet final. There is still room for creative input from future entrepreneurs and residents.
The first phase of Weespersluis consists of approx. 200 homes (Lanenrijk). The sale of this phase starts this fall. The development of the total area takes about 10 to 15 years. The first pile is expected to be hit in 2017.
