The 17th-century mansion in the 'Golden Bend' has been renovated into rental apartments for the elderly who want to live with care. The 28 residential care apartments in Het Hendrickszhuys have an area between 40 and 80 m2, one-, two- and three-room apartments offer a view of the canal or garden. They are each provided with unique features such as fitted wardrobes, ornamental ceilings, a fireplace or roof terrace. All apartments have a spacious living room with sleeping facilities and a private bathroom with shower and toilet. The property is fully tailored to the mobility and safety needs of the elderly. The apartments are all equipped with a personal alarm system with which residents can call for help 24 hours a day. All monumental elements have been restored and the residents have a restaurant, activity areas and a garden of more than 500 square meters at their disposal. The oldest coach house in the city is located in the garden.
