Erna van der Pershuis: nominated for the Amsterdam Nieuwbouwprijs 2019
The Erna van der Pershuis is a particularly small-scale residential building for people with a hearing impairment. People who need extra support in daily life will find customized living space there. The complex developed by the Alliance offers fourteen independent two and three-room apartments and eight studios with a common living room and kitchen. The surfaces vary from approximately 20 m² (studio) to 62 m² (three-room home). The houses are exclusively intended for clients of Zaamzorg. The new residential building on Zeeburgereiland has been renamed the Erna van der Pershuis. The care organization honors the director of the Alliance in Amsterdam, who died on the construction site almost three years ago after an old pile driving machine collapsed. Vote for this project!
