Villa Mokum has won the Amsterdam New Construction Prize 2016. The new-build project for starters and students in the Amstelkwartier received almost 21 percent of the vote. Alderman Laurens Ivens (Building and Living) announced the winning project on Friday evening (September 30) at a festive gathering in Pakhuis De Zwijger in Amsterdam.
Villa Mokum is a project of developer AM and designed by architect Marcel Kampman. The building complex has 627 studios, both for sale and for rent, grouped around a communal courtyard.
