Living on the oldest and most beautiful canal in Haarlem
The Glashuys, so called because there was once a glassworks, is located on the oldest and most beautiful canal in Haarlem. At the rear, the property borders the beautiful courtyard of the Saint Joseph parish.
The Glashuys: two three-storey houses, one two-storey house
The building will house two three-storey houses and a two-storey house. The three-storey houses are at the front, with a view of the canal and a roof terrace. You can combine living with working in these houses. The two-storey residence extends over the full width of the building. To bring in daylight and to create outdoor space, the rear façade is placed inside. This results in a lovely terrace. The renovation of the building is now underway. In doing so, the historical value and the qualities of the environment are dealt with very carefully.
Organize and dismantle yourself, with help, alone or in a group
The possibilities in Het Glashuys are numerous. You can buy one of the three houses, but also buy the entire building with a mini-building group, so that you know in advance who your neighbors will be. Do you still see a bit about the renovation? Not necessary. You can use the expertise of project architect JoustraReid Architects. You can also have the layout and dismantling done by the contractor who is now also doing the renovation. It is also possible to work with your own designer and, after delivery of the hull, to carry out the installation in-house, whether or not in collaboration with your neighbors.
