De Werf bij de Sluis in Muiden: wharf houses, lots and apartments in a historic location. Registration closes on May 10
April 29th 2021
Living in a place with a rich history and a bright future. It is possible in the new construction project De Werf at the Sluis in Muiden, directly on the Vecht. At this spot, where fishing boats, prams and tjalks once entered the water, will be 54 houses and three self-build plots with mooring in front of the door. The registration for the first phase of 'De Werf', with three lots and two monumental renovation homes, is in progress and will close on Monday 10 May (12:00).
De Werf, phase 1: self-build plots including berth, plenty of living space in renovation homes
The three lots are approximately 262, 314 and 591 square meters. You can build a house of your own design or have it built on it, or choose a design for which a building permit has already been granted. A berth for your boat or sloop is included with each lot. This way you can sail straight from your home onto the Vecht or the IJmeer. In addition to these three lots, two beautiful, monumental renovation homes in phase 1 are also available. The living areas are approximately 185 and approximately 217 square meters.

Renovation home, wharf houses, apartments and town houses in phase 2 and 3
In addition to these lots and renovation homes, the housing offer consists of another renovation home, eighteen wharf houses (two detached and with a garden, sixteen on the courtyard), 23 apartments, four penthouses and six town houses. With all houses you have the option of a berth in front of the door. The living areas vary from 68 to 217 square meters. Much of this offering goes on sale in the second quarter (phase 2), the rest in the fourth quarter (phase 3).
Homes with a shipyard appearance, sight lines towards Vecht and Muiderslot
The charm of De Werf is the variety in the range of houses, its location near the attractive and historic center of Muiden and of course the marina in front of the door, from which you can easily sail to the Vecht or the IJmeer. The designs of the houses also contribute to the special character. Rijnboutt Architecten has incorporated the past as a shipyard into this. This connection with the past is reinforced by relics from the old yard in the public space. Also special: the optimal experience of the area, thanks to sight lines towards the Vecht, the colorful Herengracht and the Muiderslot. In this way you will soon feel the connection with historic Muiden 'at' De Werf.
Car-free inner area, quay as a meeting place
You park your car in the garage under the courtyard, which will be car-free and bicycle-free. In the design of that courtyard, a lot of attention has been paid to the transition from private to public. This outdoor space will be a nice meeting place, without residents being bothered by it. Another place to meet will be the quay. There you can watch the passing boats while enjoying a glass of wine or stroll the old-fashioned way.
